No June meeting

Posted in meetings on June 21, 2007 by ejeschke

Greetings all,

Regretfully, I have to postpone the June BILUG meeting, unless someone else wants to organize it (chime in here ASAP if you do). I was hoping I’d have a free slot on a weekend, but I’ve got an unusual number of commitments this month.

We’ll try again in July. Meanwhile, I leave you with these links:

May 2007 meeting

Posted in meetings on May 25, 2007 by ejeschke

We will have a BILUG meeting this Saturday, May 26, from 1–5pm at Connections Public Charter School at the Kress Building, downtown Hilo. Please meet by the ice cream shop (Tropical Dreams) inside the Kress building, bayfront. John Thatcher is our host.

We’ll be donating a little time setting up some PCs with Linux that Mac Cooper and Smithsonian Observatory are donating to Connections.  But of course we also have time for the usual round table discussion, a demo or two, and the usual FOSS assistance.

Hope to see you there!

A hui hou,
—Eric

Greetings open-source enthusiasts!

The April 2007 BILUG meeting will take place this Saturday, the 28th, from 1pm to 5pm at the Subaru Telescope base facility in the UHH research park just off of Komohana St in Hilo (need directions?).

We’ve got a couple of demos queued up for this meeting, and as always, we welcome your impromptu demo if you have something ready to show and tell. If you can, please bring some kind of pupu to share.

There will be a BILUG sign out front; please knock loudly if the door is locked and someone will come to let you in. Parking is ample on Aohoku street in front of the observatory—please do not park in the observatory parking lot.

Aufwidersehen,
—Eric
